Privacy Policy

SheetFix is the data controller for personal data processed through SheetFix. We process data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your files stay on your device

Spreadsheets you clean or convert are read and processed entirely in your web browser. Their contents are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

What we collect

• Account data: email address, optional display name, and (for Google sign-in) your Google profile name and picture.
• Usage data: per cleaned file we store the file name, row/column count, number of issues and quality score, to enforce plan limits and show your history.
• Presets: names and selected cleaning rules you save.
• Billing data: handled by Stripe. We receive subscription status and period dates, not your full card details.

Why and on what legal basis

• To provide the Service and your account — performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To process payments and meet tax obligations — contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b), (c)).
• To secure and improve the Service — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Processors

We use trusted processors bound by data processing agreements: our hosting and database provider, Stripe (payments) and Google (optional sign-in). Some may process data outside the EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep account and usage data while your account is active. Billing records are kept for 7 years as required by tax law. On account deletion other data is removed within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your data and to object to processing. Email support@sheetfix.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted per user, and passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider.
